Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a frontal depiction of a battleship cutting through waves, the reverse with a block hinge, maker marked SCHWERIN, BERLIN, measuring 43. 86 mm (w) x 57. 09 mm (h), weighing 31. 7 grams, the badge is missing its pinback and catch, an
