Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central leftward facing profile of Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm III circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), unmarked, measuring 25. 88 mm in diameter, weighing 9. 2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
